Mary Morris

Mary Morris

Mary Morris holds an MFA in creative writing from Southern Illinois University—Carbondale and taught English and literature for more than a decade. Today, she ghostwrites nonfiction in addition to her work as a line editor, copy editor, and proofreader for Red Adept. Mary’s fiction, nonfiction, and poetry have appeared in various literary magazines, and she co-writes urban-fantasy, paranormal romance, and post-apocalyptic novels under the pen name Phoebe Walker.

Mary lives in the wilds of southeastern Illinois with her husband, her children, and miscellaneous cats. When she’s not working, she divides her time between wrangling kids; watching TV with her husband; reading romance/women’s fiction, SFF, graphic novels, fanfiction, etc.; and writing whenever possible. She doesn’t remember the last time she was bored, but it was probably sometime in the ‘90s.
