Jim Chambers is a retired civil engineer who lives with his wife in Atlanta, Georgia. An accomplished photographer, his images have been published in National Geographic books. His lifelong passion, however, is reading, and he loves almost all genres.
While working, Jim wrote or edited hundreds of technical papers and reports. Since his retirement, he has proofread more than 100 novels.
Irene Steiger spent most of her childhood with her nose glued to a book, and she’s still rarely without a stack from the library, though pesky little things like college classes keep getting in the way of her reading.
While she will read just about anything, her favorites are sci-fi/fantasy, humor, mystery, historical fiction, suspense, paranormal…and so on and so forth.
Irene is kept well in hand by her cat Felice, aka Squeaky.
Kristina Baker has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh. She teaches English as a second language and is a freelance writer. In her free time, she likes to read and make pottery. She currently lives in South Central Pennsylvania.
Kim Husband, M.A., is a freelance proofreader, copyeditor and writer based in the Twin Cities (MN). She has copyedited more than 100 textbooks for clients that include Sage Publications and Cambridge University Press, online course materials for the University of Minnesota, and corporate communications for Wells Fargo. She has also edited a dozen novels ranging in topic from autobiographical fiction to science fiction and taught writing at the University of Maine for two years.
In her free time, Kim studies and teaches T’ai Chi and other martial arts (and has edited and contributed to books on those subjects as well).
Susannah Driver lives in North Carolina and has a bachelor’s degree in English. When not at her day job working at a telecommunications company, she enjoys reading anything from mysteries to sci-fi to contemporary fiction, writing, and traveling as much as possible.
Amanda Kruse graduated magna cum laude with a BA in creative writing at the University of Colorado at Boulder and has a graduate level publishing certificate from the University of Denver. She has worked with individual and small presses as an editor and proofreader for the last five years.
When not editing, she spends her time reading, riding her horse, or traveling the world in search of adventures.
Laura Brooks is a retired registered nurse. She has been an avid reader since childhood; her favorite genres include mystery, romance, suspense, and paranormal. Her hobbies include reading, genealogy, research (“Inquiring minds want to know.”), maintaining several websites, sewing, and theatre. A recent transplant from Michigan, she currently lives in Alaska with her husband, sister, and dog.
Kate Birdsall has been a writer since the third grade and has over ten years of editing experience. In addition to proofreading fiction, she edits nonfiction and academic work. Her day job is as an assistant professor; she teaches creative writing, professional writing, and first-year writing at a large university in the Midwest.
She enjoys writing her own prose, spending time with her wife (with whom she co-parents at least one too many four-legged creatures), working out, cooking, playing a variety of loud instruments, reading mystery and science fiction, and binge-watching Netflix.
